CONDITIONS TREATED WITH CHIROPRACTIC CARE

I treat many people every single day at my clinic in Sheffield with different symptoms and all with differing levels of pain and discomfort. I understand the impact this can have on your life and the urgency you have to become pain-free.

Below are a list of some of the common conditions I successfully treat on a regular basis with chiropractic treatment. While people’s symptoms are different, my process of treating you always starts the same way, with an initial consultation. This will establish a full diagnosis of your condition, allowing me to form an accurate treatment plan best suited for you, giving you the best chance of recovery.

BACK PAIN

Back pain affects around 80% of people at some stage in their lifetime, this equates to around 52 million people in the UK and has been increasing over recent years.

NECK PAIN

Those who suffer from neck pain, usually complain of dull and achy persistent pain around the neck and upper shoulders area, plus limited head movement.

SHOULDER PAIN

Shoulder pain is a very common complaint, you should seek treatment for shoulder pain that persists beyond a few days.

WHIPLASH

Whiplash is caused by a sudden movement of the head. This movement causes significant damage to the supporting muscles,  ligaments and other connective tissues in the neck and upper back.

SCIATICA

If you are suffering from pain, numbness or a tingling sensation that radiates from your lower back and travels down one of your legs then it’s likely you are suffering from sciatica.

SPORTS INJURIES

Many musculoskeletal complaints arise from injuries sustained in sports. Whether you are an amateur sports enthusiast or a top-flight professional, your body is prone to the same kinds of injuries.

JAW PAIN

TMJ is the shortened name for temporomandibular joint disorders. It describes a group of disorders in which the connecting point between the jaw and the skull becomes painful and swollen.

HEADACHES

Headaches and migraines can affect all people at some time in their life. Occasional suffering is bad enough, but regular head pain can make life really debilitating.

PLANTAR FASCIITIS

There are many things that can cause plantar fasciitis, including injury from a fall or excessive exercise. Standing for long periods of time or arthritis can also cause this condition.

VERTIGO

Vertigo is a common complaint, especially after head and neck trauma. It may come from problems in the inner ear, or from disturbances in pathways in the nervous system.

ARTHRITIS

There’s no getting away from the fact that life with arthritis can be difficult. But by making a few simple adjustments it is possible to take control, and lead a full and active life.

TENDONITIS

If you experience a sore, achy shoulder, elbow or knee, you may have tendonitis. Like many injuries, it’s an inflammation usually caused by repetition.

Your Initial Consultation + first treatment – £55

1st Visit: • Review of your health history • Physical Examination • Posture & Spinal Assessment

2nd Visit: • Report from Examinations • Diagnosis • Treatment Plan • Your 1st Treatment

At your first appointment, I will assess your symptoms in a consultation to determine if chiropractic treatment is suitable and what techniques are likely to help.

Your first appointment will involve a comprehensive review of your health history, a chiropractic examination, postural and spinal assessments.

I will take the time to fully understand your symptoms and how they are impacting on your life in order to ensure I accurately diagnose your condition and deliver the best possible treatment and care for you.

The majority of back and neck pain involves more than one anatomical structure and will be caused by more than one factor.

I will create a treatment plan for you that addresses all elements of your complaint, giving you the best chance of a successful outcome.

I use a range of techniques to reduce pain, improve function and increase mobility, including hands-on manipulation of the spine.

As well as manual treatment, I am able to offer a package of care which includes advice on self-help, therapeutic exercises and lifestyle changes.

Some of these different techniques will include:

Spinal manipulation – using hands to apply force to muscles, bones and joints in and around the spine.

Soft tissue therapy – manipulation and work to the soft supporting tissue around the spinal joints.

Nutritional advice – advice and guidance to supplement your treatment.

Rehabilitation therapy – The things you can do in your own time to help support your on-going treatment.
